HARLEM PHOTO LEAGUE
Ages 13 - 18
Tuesdays, 4 - 7PM beginning November 18

This workshop invites students to explore Harlem’s rich history and dynamic present through the lens of both digital and analog photography, using the neighborhood as a starting point to delve into their own personal histories, important places, and the people who have shaped their perspectives. Develop your own 35mm film in the darkroom!

TEEN DOCMAKERS
Ages 13 - 18
Fridays, 4 - 7PM beginning November 21

The Teen DocMakers Lab (TDM) is a free award-winning, year-round, after school and summer intensive film program where high school students work in small teams and on their own to make a short documentary. TDM’s curriculum is founded in the cinematic tradition of the Maysles brothers, direct cinema/cinema verité, and encourages exploration of new approaches to filmmaking grounded in the innovative films/makers of today.

VANGUARD DOCMAKERS
Ages 18-24
Wednesdays, 4 - 7PM beginning November 19

Vanguard DocMakers (VDM) Workshop is a six-month program designed for young adults (18-24) from justice-impacted communities or marginalized groups. The program offers a paid stipend to participants and does not require any prior film experience. Applicants from Harlem, Washington Heights, greater Upper Manhattan as well as the Bronx are encouraged to apply.
Those who have completed Maysles’ Teen DocMakers program are also encouraged to apply, but the Teen DocMakers program is not a prerequisite.
