Harlem Public Hearing on Reparations

As part of a statewide effort, the New York State Community Commission on Reparations Remedies (NYSCRR) is gathering testimony from New Yorkers to examine the enduring legacy of slavery and systemic discrimination. Come share your story, offer recommendations, and listen as community voices help shape the future of New York.

This public hearing will take place June 11, 2025, at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, from 4:00 PM — 8:00 PM.

There will also be a virtual public hearing on June 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
